يقدم هذا الكتاب، ترجمة جورج طرابيشي، لموسوعة علم الجمال الهيغلي عبر ثلاثيَّة الفنون الثلاثة، التي تُشكل علم الجمال، وهي: فن العمارة وفن النَّحت وفن الرَّسم، علم الجمال الذي نحتاج إلى دراسة فلسفته بعمق، لأنه يُشكل الحياة الروحية للإنسان، وهو ما تعتبره بعض الفلسفات بالبناء الفوقي العقلي، وما بين هذه الفنون الثلاثة من وحدة جماليَّة، فالعمارة ليست مجرد جدران وأبواب إنما فن يرتبط ارتباطاً مباشراً بفن الرَّسم، لذا لابد للمعمار أن يُجيد الرَّسم، فالخطوط التي يرسمها مصمم العمارة تتحول إلى أشكال فنيّة في المكان، لها قوام النحت والرّسم.
